about

So, this one is a song for a couple of awesome pones that are really great friends of mine, and, honestly, have one of the most beautiful relationships together that I've ever been able to witness.

So, about 4-5 days ago (Saturday morning @ 4am) I was laying awake in my bed staring at the ceiling, and thinking about my two friends, and it got me thinking about what I would want if I were ever to get in a relationship. And 5 hours later, this thing spawned from my head.

Yeah, and as much as this song is for my two friends, I also wrote it as a song for anyone who just wants nothing more than to lay awake with the one they love, daydreaming about how much they enjoy having them near.

Also, because I felt like I had pretty limited time, I didn't really go to anybody for instrumental help, so the guitar track you hear in the song was played completely by me. Be cruel but be kind :)

Anyway, I think that's it for this one. I really hope you guys enjoyed this one! Let me know what you thought. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Like, subscribe, stick around and jam out. I'll see you guys in the next one. Take care :)

lyrics

--------LYRICS--------

They say it's hard to find
Controls your thoughts to tease your mind, they say
You can't escape it and if you try to chase it
It doesn't work out by design
So when you, lay awake counting the stars
Wondering just how bright and just how far
A story starts to form inside your head
And this is what it says

It would make my soul delight
Just to stay up late at night
Staring at the ceiling
Letting time pass away
Looking, back on where I thought I'd been
And how I got to where I am
Alone together beneath the lunar light
That's a story I want to write

Finally you get whisked away
On a dreaming sequence open sleigh, you know
Your inner feeling becomes what you believe in
And they say it'll be okay
So now you, take a shot and hope it hits
Know your dream's not gonna end like this
So you rest your head back down and try again
To find your happy end

It would make my soul delight
Just to stay up late at night
Staring at the ceiling
Letting time pass away
Looking, back on where I thought I'd been
And how I got to where I am
Alone together beneath the lunar light
That's a story I want to write

Take a breath and say goodnight
I'll see you in the light
And the sun can shine forever
'Cause in the countless hours spent
Nothing else was relevant
And we could just waste our time together

They say it's hard to find
Controls your thoughts to tease your mind, they say
You can't escape it and if you try to chase it
It doesn't work out by design
So when you, lay awake counting the stars
Wondering just how bright and just how far
A story starts to form inside your head

It would make my soul delight
Just to stay up late at night
Staring at the ceiling
Letting time pass away
Looking, back on where I thought I'd been
And how I got to where I am
Alone together beneath the lunar light
That's a story I want to write

It would make my soul delight
Just to stay up late at night
Staring at the ceiling
Letting time pass away
Looking, back on where I thought I'd been
And how I got to where I am
Alone together beneath the lunar light
That's a story I want to write

Make soul delight
Stay up late night
Stare at ceiling
Time away
Back where I'd been
Now where I am
Lone together night

That's a story I want to write
