about

Hey guys! It's good to be back uploading a new song! Again, sorry for the 2 month hiatus. Stuff at home is getting better, but for a while I was still feeling rather uninspired. I figured I needed to write a parody or something to get out of my writers block, and a couple of days before I left for Midwest Brony Fest, I had the idea that it would be pretty cool to see a parody of Holiday, by Green Day, about the town from the Season 5 Premiere. And about 3 weeks later, here it is! :D

This song was also premiered on the LycanDeseBeats album, "Beats Me" last Saturday! If you want, you can check out the stream recording here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM_qp6p6er0

I also had a lot of fun getting the chance to collab with Rockin' Brony and Cyril the Wolf on this one!

You probably remember Rockin' Brony from my other Green Day parody, Brony Case, and all the other heavy metal awesomeness he does on his channel. He's an incredible guitarist and really needs many more subs, so go smash his Subscribe button!

Yes, that really is Cyril the Wolf. I'm not making it up! I talked to him about playing bass for the song and he agreed to it, along with adding some backing vocals on the choruses and offering mixing advice. He's an awesome guy, and if you haven't already, go check his stuff out! :D

And finally, Super Epic Awesome Thanks to BugPlayer for the FREAKING SICK cover art for this one! I mean, seriously! This is one of the best things I've ever seen! Go watch this guy on DA! Seriously! I'm not kidding! Do it right now!

Anyway, I guess that's all for this one. Let me know what you thought. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Like, subscribe, stick around and jam out! I'll see you in the next one. Take care :)

lyrics

--------LYRICS--------

Stepping off of the rolling train
Traveled down 'til we it a giant "A"
We came, up to a town without a name

Their cutie marks show an equal sign
Creepy smiles and a different state of mind
To find, that something here just isn't right

I'd rather keep my nightmares and my rights to dream
This town is not as innocent as it seems
Equestria

To the vault in the far off cave
The jig is up, no it's not happening today
In vain, our butt tattoos got ripped away

Locked us up in a prison cell (Oh well)
Sleepless nights in this little taste of hell
Without, a prayer to save or a soul to tell

I'd rather keep my nightmares and my rights to dream
This town is not as innocent as it seems
Equestria

*The representative from StallionGrad now has the floor.*

Heads high, march around with those flags, man
Justify this ESTABLISHMENT
Bogus bonds and brainwashed mind games
About as strong as WET CEMENT
Crack, Crash, goes the doors and frames, man
Take out the walls and the BARRIERS
Hey liar, liar, pants on fire
There's nothing here sa-CRED TO HER

Well guess what
We say long live the princesses!!!

I'd rather keep my nightmares and my rights to dream
This town is not as innocent as it seems
Equestria

I'd rather keep my nightmares and my rights to dream
This town is not as innocent as it seems
Equestria

You've lost control of StallionGrad
